FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT FACILITIES DO YOU HAVE

Until our full refurbishment, the Old Kirk remains as it was, with no water supply or toilets, although the gravediggers' toilet can be used in an emergency.

Once the building is wind and watertight, our priority will be to install water and a septic tank to get ahead with installing toilets and a kitchen.

WE HAVE A BURIAL AT THE GRAVEYARD, CAN WE USE THE KIRK FOR A SERVICE?

The Trust has arranged with West Dunbartonshire Council that we will provide car parking for all funerals on site.  We are able to accommodate services in the church and funeral directors should contact us by email.

HOW DO WE BOOK THE BUILDING?

In due course you will be able to do this using the booking page on this website, but for now email us

WHAT DOES IT COST TO BOOK

Until our refurbishment has taken place we are simply asking for a donation towards our charity.

WHO CAN BOOK THE BUILDING?

We welcome use by local groups and visitors to
the area.

WHEN IS THE BUILDING OPEN?

We advertise open days and events on the website, and social media feeds. Alternatively you can email us to request a personal visit and we will try to accommodate one.

HOW DO WE FIND YOU?

We are on the north side of the A811, two miles east of Gartorcharn. Our car park is only open for events, but there is limited parking at the entrance to the Kirk and graveyard, and more parking  for the cemetery down the lane beside Badshalloch Cottage.  See map.
